I personally, based on my religion, view the after life as simply another excursion. If what is written in the holy sanskrit is correct, then this body made from flesh and bone is but a container for my soul and that my soul will wander off towards its next journey when this earthly body of mine withers and dies. As I don't know what the after life has in stored for me, hence I will try to accumulate as much good deeds as possible so that when I reach the podium, I will not be judged so sternly. Sadly, I have gathered so many sins that I don't think my punishment will be anything light. From owing money, to lying, to bullying, to deceiving, to watching porn and all those bad stuff, done them all, experienced them all. So, what is to say about the good deeds? Can't recall any that I did. Oh well, so be it.
"Everyone can become a Buddha." The wise words spoken by Gauthama Buddha will forever ricochet in my heart and next time when I have children, I will make sure they grow up to become respectable individuals, not like their dad who has so many sins. All in all, always be prepared for the after life and make sure you have no regrets when you leave this world. Then, you will truly obtain bliss/nirvana.
